Coen said clients will see an improved mobile experience from the alliance, which will begin in October and be in place by the end of the year.

"This network is meaningful because it has a lot of interesting deals that can complement what our partners sell locally, which is still the most important aspect of deals."
The new technology provides a number of capabilities including enhanced mobile functionality with responsive design, advanced shopping cart features, and access to a network of nationally and locally sourced deals to complement the media company's own offers.
