NimbleCommerce Announces Significant Expansion Across Europe and Middle East

Now in 14 Countries, NimbleCommerce Moves Into Spain and the Middle East, Expands UK Offices, Opens Operations in France, and Hires Executive Support

LONDON--(Marketwire - Jun 14, 2012) - NimbleCommerce, a leading enterprise local marketing and e-commerce platform, announced significant expansion across Europe and the Middle East, supported by two new hires and recently expanded offices in the U.K. and new offices in Lille, France. The company also signed on to power deals for Picarîsimo in Spain and YallaBanana.com in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

Two major new deal sites sign on with NimbleCommerce
NimbleCommerce, known for its multi-language support and network of international customers, has now expanded into two new countries, Spain and the United Arab Emirates. New clients include:

  • Picarîsimo, Madrid, Spain, delivers targeted offers for Spain's largest cities and their offers range from exclusive get-aways, luxurious spa breaks and day-to-day consumer products. Picarîsimo is part of the Spanish group Karpedeal, which is a global mobile commerce & marketing services provider with focus on Europe and Latin America.

  • Dubai-based YallaBanana features incredible offers every day. From weekend get-a-ways to long haul destinations, 5-star dining to family friendly brunches, luxurious spa treatments to helicopter tours, yachts, scuba diving, concert tickets and much more. YallaBanana is part of Turret Media, a well-established media powerhouse in the Middle East. Brands include the Taste of Dubai Festival and Abu Dhabi Week Magazine.

In addition to Picarîsimo and YallaBanana, NimbleCommerce recently added clients that include partnerships with top UK newspaper concerns The Guardian, Trinity Mirror and Johnston Press as well as the Sweetdeal sites for Mecom, the major European publishing group with operations in The Netherlands, Denmark, Poland and Sweden.

In support of its expansion, NimbleCommerce added two expert daily deal executives -- Peter Bøgh and Shakeel Itoola -- to its exceptional talent roster, and opened two new offices in the centre of London and in Lille, France.

Peter Bøgh, EU sales director, is in charge of expanding NimbleCommerce new business activities in Scandinavia and Europe. Over the last eight years, he built his career within the media industry, with the last two years focusing on the growing European daily deal industry. He was responsible for the successful launch and expansion of the biggest Danish daily deal brand: Sweetdeal.dk, owned by the Mecom Group. He advanced his career within the deal sourcing space in London working for Australian-owned Dealised Ply Ltd as Head of Insights. Most recently, he worked as Sales Director for The Daily Telegraph's group buying site, Telegraph Selected.

Shakeel Itoola, EU customer success director, will spearhead deals growth for NimbleCommerce across Europe. He is a seasoned sales and account management executive who also has headed up customer service for companies such as Wantsa Inc and Eightfoldlogic. He spent his early career in sales and engineering for companies such as IBM and Commerce One. He speaks multiple languages and holds computer science and MBA degrees.
